How do I create an account?
Click "Join Free" in the top navigation bar. You can sign up with your email address or use Google Single Sign-On for instant access.
Is GovCodex free to use?
GovCodex offers a free tier for basic permit lookups. Premium features are available for municipalities and professional contractors.

Which states does GovCodex support?
We currently support Wisconsin, Texas, California, Florida, Illinois, and many more states. Check the Permit Check tool for availability in your area.
How accurate is the permit information?
We source data directly from municipal databases and public records. All information is verified and updated regularly, though we recommend confirming with your local municipality for the most current requirements.
Can GovCodex submit permit applications?
Currently, GovCodex helps you understand requirements and prepare applications. Direct submission integration is available in select municipalities.
